Some minor but cute changes were made by the latest updates. Carp-shaped wind catchers are now put near the cafeteria and the statue is prettified with an armor of a samurai warrior (these are important items for Japanese Boy's festival which will be held on May 5).
By the way, so-called "Golden Week" holiday period is a good opportunity to play TMO intensively, too. To do so, not-so-small number of players have to subscribe but payment system had been down again. Good grief!
Today I'd like to introduce one of my favorite place of interests. Outdoor pet house. This is it.
Outdoor pet house is located near the sub-schoolhouse. Many students gather in knots from different classroom and enjoy chatting with each other.
In addition, you can find a little chick-like creature named Hiyokokko there. Hiyokokko is cute but coughs so much! I suspect that hiyokkoko is suffered from infectious diseases such as Newcastle disease, Avian-flu or something like that...
I might be compelled to stay up late and hear students say farewell with each other next Wednesday (April 26, 2006). This is because 30+5 days trial subscription will be expired by the day and there is much to be done for the future of TMO as of writing this.
However, TMO is expected to be developing still now (as already announced, new items will ecome (probably) available next month, for example). I believe that TMO does have scalability. In addition, most of my classmates I met express their attitude that they would (continue to) pay subscription fee. So do I!
Subscribe hopefully and overcome "Super Wednesday-Issue"! And I want to say to staffs at KONAMI that please keep us busy with updates :-)
Scheduled maintenance seems to be completed successfully.
Some major and minor bugs are fixed. No matter whom the players play with, the game design is changed to allow players to obtain keywords in some cases and lots more! I feel like proclaiming that "That's one small(?) step for KONAMI, one giant leap for TMO players."
(However, those are what TMO players need minimally. For real)
It's a time to subscribe a monthly fee. I am willing to subscribe to play TMO, of course. As far as TMO goes, "fee" may be pronounced as "investment" IMHO though.
Unfortunately, 60- and 90-days subscription are turned out to be unavailable. I have to say that this news darkened the already-clouded prospects for success of TMO.
Metal-Yuki, Producer of TMO, explains the future of TMO in this interview held on March 25 (it seems a little bit out-of-date).
Only god knows whether what he said is really possible (or implementable), however, I am now trying to believe him with great efforts. Overly negative? I know but what are the odds the tea is cold?
I spent a lot of time on the intragame (intra-TMO) avatar-to-avatar chat with one of my classmates the day before yesterday and it was great. I had a good time.
The avatar-to-avatar chat is fantastic though it is potentially vulnerable to abuse by mala fide players.
As mentioned previously, there is an in-game TCG called "Club Activity" in the TMO world. A deck composed of strong keywords (spells) holds the key to the victory, as in many other TCG.
Recently, I succeeded in creating my first synthetic keyword "Ikitsugi-No-Gokui (secret of breathing)", which provides a healing ability. It is very popular and elementary keyword but I am very pleased with it.
If I had the permission, I would upload the screenshot...
As you know, TMO is a subscription-based MMO game. The subscription fee is expected to be payable by credit card or e-cash (WebMoney) today in vain. Online payment system is still unavailable.
According to my personal opinion, KONAMI wants to make assurance doubly sure on the stability of the online payment system. Particularly, their Login Server looks quite vulnerable to heavy access. Before now, whenever they try to launch new service (e.g. character data transfer), the login server always went down!
p.s. Kagayaki game server has gone down. Bugs and things happen all the time. I hope it will be solved soon.
Last Saturday, I visited home electronics shops in Akihabara, Tokyo to buy small trackball device (I prefer it rather than mouse). On the way home, I stopped at the shop selling "Tokimeki Memorial ONLINE-Ready" PC.
The PC was placed on the desk located at the corner of the shop with working condition. Interestingly, the shop allowed people to play TMO at no charge with limited time. This attempt may contribute to increase the number of users playing TMO.
It was happened several minutes past 17:00 yesterday. I got a "Connection disconnected" message on the screen suddenly. I tried to access official website because I thought that it might be because of my router (or ISP) failure but the fact was that the server had been unavailable due to unknown reason(s). It is okay again now.
Unexpected service interruption is an all-too-common problem. However, I am afraid that KONAMI loses their business because of this.
TMO is short for TOKIMEKI MEMORIAL ONLINE, massively multiplayer online game developed in Japan. It is just a little bit different from other MMO; no quest, no battle, no hassle leveling up. The goal is to win the hearts and minds of other players and to forge links of friendship between players! This blog is an log book of an user who is charmed with TMO.
