TMO's Black Wednesday

Today (March 7, 2007, Japan Time) TMO Steering Team announced that the service will be terminated on July 31, 2007.

Many players (including me) half expected that but I cannot help saying that I am disillusioned with this news.

School integration held last year is still fresh in players mind. As far as my new home class (Class I), it has had a positive effect. However, in retrospect, it has been a beginning of the end of the game :-(

Overseas Student

I met an overseas student coming from US and I had a good time talking with him in the TMO world last weekend.

In reply to my e-mail, KONAMI said that international access is not (officially) supported and KONAMI did not make it clear whether
they allow or reject a connection from outside Japan. But, Voila! TMO-server accepts international access requests in fact!

School Integration Was Completed

About two months has passed since I wrote the last article. Some are static and some are changed. Of course, the most significant change is the "school" (server) integration.
Contrary to all expectations, it was completed successfully without (re-)postponement.

After logging on, I am surprised with the number of students (players).
Lots of students! Just lots of students!

I hope our brand-new "HARUKAZE" (spring breeze in English) school will be crowded with students next month (and later).

The Talk Show by Voice Actors

The talk show by voice actors (and the quiz cometition) was held last night. This was the last event in our Kagayaki high-school before school integration.

School Integration

The number of students (players) are getting decreased and decreased these days. Kagayaki high-school, the oldest school in the TMO world, is no exception.

I can easily remember that the school gymnasium was filled with students celebrating of the official launch of TMO. However, as days went by, not a small number of students dropped out because of hard-to-understand "management of schools".

This kind of depopulation is without doubt invariably fatal because depopulation leads to further depopulation. This "avalanche effect" jeopardizes the existence of TMO itself.
So, school integration will take place next month (October, 2006) to halt the progression of depopulation.

It is a good chance to get acquainted with new classmates IMHO.
